Tubular fallingfilm evaporator

A major criterion is their absolute reliability during operations even in the production of juice with a higher dry substance content. Another convincing argument in favour of these evaporators was BMA’s 3-level juice distribution system, which has proved to perform successfully especially with very large evaporators. This can be explained by the special design of the juice distributor. It comprises a lower system of juice ducts that uses the overflow principle.

The juice for these ducts is supplied from a second duct system, in which short pipes fitted flush with the duct bottom are designed such that the juice is impounded in the duct system and that this juice distributor level operates on the flow-off principle. This makes it less susceptible to differences in the juice level.

With its juice separator integrated below the juice chamber, the “Beta” evaporator has a very slender design. Should the juice have a low dry substance content, impingement-type entrainment separators can be installed. An additional advantage this design has over evaporators with a top-end juice separator is that the juice distributor can be very easily accessed.
